MQTT and Other Improvements

March 31, 2022

DAZL® release 1.2.0 sees the addition of support for the MQTT protocol, as well as ongoing improvements to the application.

MQTT, an Internet-of-Things protocol, was added to control Falcon Player devices, commonly used to run RGB pixel-based holiday light displays. MQTT can also be used to connect other compliant devices, of course.

DAZL Actions (used to do things during a show) have been enhanced, allowing them to be named and easily reused within a show.

We also added easy duplication of many show elements, several bug fixes, as well as internal changes required for the next release (more configuration improvements coming!)
